There is still so much to be done , last minute grocery
shopping , presents to wrap , well I must confess ,
The things I wrap are usually for blogger friends
lol -- The great invention of bags has spoiled me .
But i do love to see pretty packages under the tree
not just bags . - One year - I was all about the brown paper and
then stamping and embellishing --with ribbons and
handstamped tags -- well with presents stacked everywhere
that idea went bye bye very fast --
** INFO : YOU will love visiting http://quillcottage.blogspot.com
Her blog today , featured her kitchen at my request , so cute -
but she has adorable tutorials and ideas going back for days -- so ,
don't miss it - you will be glad you did !! Her blog is so beautiful , her writing is
like reading prose and she is the sweetest Christian person.
****
The little sweetie in her beret is trying to decide -
naughty or nice -- I love her little hand on her face .
i made this magnatized on the back -- for the kitchen
I hardly put anything on my own fridge -- uh must
confess -can only do it on one partly exposed side(drats ) as it is
stainless steel on the front , and nothing sticks lol -
One of my (Daughter -in - loves ) I borrowed this phrase
from another blogger .
as it fits both of mine to a T. ,has so many cute pics
on her fridge - One of my faves i s our
son with a little boy they fell in love with while they were
on a mission trip to Mexico for CASA'S por Cristos
. building homes for those without .
They really wanted to bring him home , He really grew attached
to them that week, but his MOM would
have missed him , lol -- ALL of our family are in love with babies and little
children , They gave me a pic
I will have to scan it in soon -The little guy is adorable .
Don't remember if I posted this little guy or not - if I don't take pics
I forget season to season what I create .
When I sold painted items years ago - I was known
(whether good or back is a moot point .) or as one of our kids
thought when they were small a "MOO " point
now we say it on purpose -always laugh - we are easily
amused -- for my work in miniature - so I still '
love making little things , with lots of detail
- this little guy was on my mind . wanted
him on a small tag -and cutting his little
nose was a trick , I have several ideas for next year -
and would love to maybe try etsy -- only a little nervous -
don't have a clue about the program . I would love to make kits
and have several ideas in mind , as well as readymades .
But will have to think but mostly "PRAY " about
the time it will take -- It is not like deadlines , like I
had in my craft business , Ten big , juried shows
a yr is a killer schedule -- several thousand things made in a season
whew - Still have a little hand trouble from the repetition . I truly loved , the first two
or three I created - but by Christmas that had gone out the door , was painting in my sleep.
But won't bore ya with that -- just ladies , guard your hands .
they suffer from the constant motion , and not just old hands like mine .
* well back to the little guy - his hat was the hardest , they want to unroll
needed an extra hand or foot , or something.
Ok ,I know sorry my pics -- it is the waxy finish that is the glare
I do so love music as backgrounds and also vintage santa pictures
You saw a snow version of this idea before
This helps to see his cute face He is also dimensional .
well that is all for now .
Church tomorrow and Santa visits the Mission tomorrow -
They get to have their picture made with Santa ( most do not get to visit
him and usually do not get to purchase any school pics
so we try to do several picture ideas a year and print and distribute them
and , SANTA explains to each that while presents are nice ,JESUS
is the reason we have Christmas - Mr. George has
been doing a great job with that for several years for us -and our church
members provides the gifts -through our Angel tree ministry.
We also started an "ON the Road with Jesus "-- several years ago
to give time to our rural county .We are in teams assigned to clean up
the roads in our county . Last year we had 1000 people participate
and It is such a witness - so many slow down and say thank you ,
-- We don't try to promote our church
we are just there to serve , Other
smaller churches are joining in with us also .
If any are interested ,I can e -mail more info , about how we do this
It shows that serving is also a community thing - OOPS I do
ramble on -- climbing down from my soapbox .( uh really -how did
that phrase get started - I guess the obvious ??
Blessings and sleep Tight -- KAthy - GA
