It seems some pictures come out blurred and
others not -- have limited adjusting ability
with my picture program . It seems most when
creating I always turn back to the vintage
images , especially those of children.
This sweet face is so darling -- Of course the lace
ribbons and flowers are perfect for this little angel
I need to design something with wings for her .

TAG a holic --

I love all types of mixed media - and yesterday was showing
atc -love -- But my hear tis truly taken over by Tags -
when i first started stamping I -bought several books on designing TAGs - I still look at them and love them still . ( ya know I am a bookaholic - also - wow
this is cheaper than therapy RIGHT ! )
Well have not been posting much as all the things I am creating are for various swaps - and can't spoil the surprise . Not many new pics to show -
so I wanted to post some wonderful tags my friend - Vikki -
from Humble -heart Blog - sent me -- She is very special to my heart -
These are too too cute and really make me smile -- and look at all the wonderful ribbon and fibers attached - GAAH as Teresa would say - wait til you see the necklace she made me -- but that will take a large post with pics -

Atc Love -

I don't know how many of you love atc "
artist trading cards - liek the size of baseball cards
Don't know where it started - but the stated rules are -
they must be 2 1/2 by 3 1/2- inches --on a cardstock base
- covered with whatever - cloth , paper stamped mixed media stuff
whatever -- They are so much fun - as I was making some for Valentines --
I cam across these I had made previously .

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Grandson

Raining a lot here today -- trying to catch- up on
my blog .

What fun we are having today , my Grandson turns 10-
He is so excited about being in double digits LOL .
and he wants an Army - camo - party - so into all of that.
-- We were all requested to wear camo or at least something
army -green - or as close as possible --
MY mind was racing - so i pulled up army pics and
printed and put it onto large sheets of paper and
added it to the front of a brown handled bag - Then
I sprayed -green paint and brown in blothes on large paper
for the gift bag tissue -
The best part is I transposed -( him onto- a cutout of a soldiers uniform
and made it as a large tag - and put a grommett
and tied it wiht some green -twine - too cute he is
He will love it -- the gifty's is more games and thingy's ( i have no clue )
for the WEI - he got for Christmas -

VALENTINE SWAPS and DINNER ??

FInally finished most of my swap things -
Will be mailing today - woo hoo - It has been fun !
Still one more for Valentines still to finish .
It makes me laugh when hub comes home, wondering about
supper and there is a pan and a instead of food he
see this in the sink -- tags in the dye bath lol --
then the oven door is open, an a pan had been drying
with envelopes and tags - He says I guess we are eating out ??
He is too sweet -- actually we had homemade soup !!
yum - Been cold here - but having a heatwave today
will be 52 - so errand time --

Blogger problem , Cute tutorial and a creative block

Still problem with blogger - so I am still
posting for the pictures below
cannot seperate them -- UGH !
The first pic is a pop up card
The idea is on Jolie-Paquet - and the download
of the little girl also - very cute idea -- I
made it just like the tutorial . it surely has made
me think of many new ideas . I have a few vintage
pop -up cards - The very elaborate one are so expensive -
If you can find them .
THis week is going to be the big push to get all my
valentine swap things mailed out . I have had many different
ones going at the same time . Some need a little tweaking -
Do you get a mental creative block ?? You can see there
cute are lotsa cute stuff to create with - But when i audition an
idea - just have to keep working till it is right -

WEll it loads the pictures , which in the screen
look like letters and numbers - ya know computer speak -
but doesn't have a space to see a clear screen as to
what the layout will be or to post words etc - OK nuff said -
The little atc 's were such fun - altho the little snowballs
almost were my undoing - ya know was sticking to my hands etc --

VALENTINES- and a lot of foof -interesting sites

Hope all are warm and well today ,
Been up to my eyeballs in lots of foof -
as those partydresses - and other lacey inspired
things -- for several swaps - some are not
valentines oriented so have a while .
I decided to sneak up on the blogger problem -
of picture posting - by changing my picture
format and see if I can write my blog load pics
in a different position and then comment on them -
so here goes -- trying to upload

Blogger still acting up can post pics but
have to do a second post for the comments -yuck!
Thes are my party dresses for a dress swap garland -
with artrageousafternoon.blogspot.com - It was so much fun -
as these were the types of dresses I might have worn
at Easter or to a special occasion .
WE are expecting the arctic blast ( well for us it is in the south)
here at the end of the week , about 15 degrees at night -
yikes- global warming - where is it ??lol --
So gotta get my errands done - groceries etc -
Cold weather -not my fave !! - Thinking of all my blogg
buddies who have had such hard days -of cold, ice and snow .

I am not sure what is happening with blogger -- i load pics - and upload then - the viewing screen is filled with numbers and letters -- If I preview can see the pictures -- but cannot post anyone words -- so have to post a second time without pics anyone else have this problem - guess I will have to contact .Blogger
WEll I had the same problem last post
Wanted to show you the beautiful ornaments my hub turns out of wood --
Some are exotic wood s and costly - purple heart , yellow wood , ebony -- so beautiful the ornament is hollow and some have as many as 50 small pieces of wood
glued and clamped together -- then turned and finished -- there are no stains --
the color is the natural look of the wood -- He uses a clear wax - special for woodturning - it smells soo good - He is such an artist - makes gorgeous pepper mills and bowls and tiny wish boxes , and pens -- it still amazes me -- he went and took a class where you viewed things and then came home and set up a shop and made one ..
The neat thing is we were in art class together in High school -- so fun -
He truly has the artistic talent in the family ,

THE beauty of wood

MAYHEM ! MISHAPS ! AND AN EXPLANATION ??

OK the blogger problem - this

rest of my art room cabinets

4. the printer tray was a distraction -from
the heavy lifting and organizing
5. Due to Blogger -crazies - posting the Valentine
pics from last year, cause these are what I need to
be doing - but spent my creatin'
time on blogger . Yikes !

WEll blogger is taking a vacation again -
I uploaded pics -- and could see them in my viewer -
then when I saved -- it was all letters and numbers
so went to preview and there were all my pics and then it posted the pics - lol
couldn't write thing so - here I AM now !!

SO now hearts and lace abounds in the studio --

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Dear Friends ,
What a wonderful year I have had of sharing my , art
my heart and getting to meet so many new online friends .
You have truly blessed me in many ways - Kind thoughts ,
and encouragements and sharing your families , hurts art and ideas ,as
we visited this past year .
We have been in a fun whirl here these days after Christmas ,
and off soon to a fun family dinner at a favorite restaurant -but wanted
a moment to connect to the other --daily parts of my life - you and your blogs
For me next week will be a quiter time - to reflect on the list of
goals this next year -- * - First to focus on what God's list
would be for my life --to love more , serve more, connect more
in my daily life with him and others -These will be goals for my journal
It seems I get so busy, and in my prayer life , am always asking God for blessings , and help ,
and health and protection for my family , friends , my church , our country , for situations and
not taking time to stop ! Listen - for that still voice of God -
Years ago i used to sing a song that always made tears come to my eyes -
for those who know me in real life -- I have tears when happy , or sad , and empathy with others --I used to apologize about that ,sorry for the tears -- when a Pastor said
God never wastes a tear or a hurt - that we grow , love ,share our hearts through
milestones that can help others . So i wanted to share this songs words with you on this first day of a brand new Year ---
